Migrating to Office 2007

Our clients are finding that the migration to Office 2007 is a bigger step change than earlier upgrades.

The most obvious challenge for users is to familiarise themselves with the new ribbon which gives access to an overwhelming array of commands.

We feel that there has also been a more subtle change to optimise Office 2007 for the home rather than the corporate user. The effect is to offer even more opportunities to 'fiddle' and produce a document which bears little relation to the corporate image, or house style.

Our response has been to create a client tab on the ribbon. This tab allows the user simple access to 95% of the features they need for their everyday work - via both standard office features and bespoke macro buttons.

Linked with a template and a set of simple to access commands a typical user is able to  create easily and consistently professional documents in line with the corporate style.
